Perla Zul, a Chicana writer hailing from California, earned a Master’s degree in English. Having been raised by fairy tales and scary stories, she embarked on a creative journey to craft narratives that are dark, sensual, magical, and queer–stories she craves to read herself.As an advocate for breaking from convention and delving into the shadows of human psyche, Perla explores characters who are often the “othered,” the villains, or those who unapologetically put their desires first, mirroring the complexities of real-life individuals. Her tales challenge norms and unravel the intricacies of human desire, celebrating the kaleidoscope of identities that define us.
